About a quarter expect stability (25.5%), while only 4.9% assume a contraction. This is opposite to the result in August, when 64.0% expected a decrease in production, given the summer closures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-20402 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/public.confindustria.it\/repository\/2025\/10\/07103522\/grafico1-nic.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"553\" height=\"496\" srcset=\"https:\/\/public.confindustria.it\/repository\/2025\/10\/07103522\/grafico1-nic.png 553w, https:\/\/public.confindustria.it\/repository\/2025\/10\/07103522\/grafico1-nic-480x431.png 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 553px, 100vw\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Looking at the quarterly trend (Chart 1), in Q2 2025 more than half of the respondents expected production to remain unchanged (62.4%). In the summer months, the assessments were distributed differently: in the <strong>third quarter<\/strong>In fact, almost half of the companies expected a<strong> increase<\/strong> (46.9%), 26.8% predicted stable production, and 26.3% a contraction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The balance related to <strong>demand and orders<\/strong> decreased in September after the increase in the previous month and reached zero (from 3.1% in August) (Chart 2).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Business expectations on the <strong>availability of labour<\/strong> in the coming months worsen while remaining positive, registering a balance of 0.2% in September, after 4.1% in the previous month.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Negative balance for <strong>production costs<\/strong> in the September survey, worsening from the previous month (-5.3% from -4.2%).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Judgments regarding the <strong>financial conditions<\/strong> become more positive in September (2.0% from 1.5%).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>As for the<strong> availability of materials<\/strong>the balance of September responses returned to expansionary territory (0.8% from -4.6%).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The industrialists' verdict on the <strong>availability of facilities<\/strong> improved significantly in the September survey (2.4% from 0.1%).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-20401 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/public.confindustria.it\/repository\/2025\/10\/07103426\/grafico-2-nic.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"499\" height=\"720\" srcset=\"https:\/\/public.confindustria.it\/repository\/2025\/10\/07103426\/grafico-2-nic.png 499w, https:\/\/public.confindustria.it\/repository\/2025\/10\/07103426\/grafico-2-nic-480x693.png 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 499px, 100vw\" \/><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the September survey, the majority of large industrial companies associated with Confindustria expect an increase in production (69.6%).
