The number of respondents convinced that production will remain stable is just over half of the sample (51.8%). The number of respondents who believe in an increase in production is no more than a quarter (21.4%) and the number of pessimists who believe that production will decrease is increasing (26.8%) (Chart 1).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/public.confindustria.it\/repository\/2025\/05\/03000946\/img-37.png\">    <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The industrialists interviewed identify, despite the great uncertainty on international trade, the<strong> demand and orders<\/strong> as the main strengths supporting production. The balance decreased but remained positive, standing at +5.0% from +6.1% in March (Chart 2).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Business expectations on the <strong>availability of labour<\/strong> in the coming months, turn favourable again (+0.4% from -0.1%).<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>The balance related to <strong>production costs<\/strong> improved while remaining in negative territory (-1.0% from -8.1%).<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Judgments regarding the <strong>financial conditions<\/strong> remain almost stable (+1.7% from +2.1%).<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>On <strong>availability of materials<\/strong> Pessimism increased: the balance decreased compared to the March survey (-6.4% from -3.2%).<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>The industrialists' assessment of the<strong> availability of facilities<\/strong> continued to be positive this month although it worsened compared to the previous survey (+0.3% from +3.2%).<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/public.confindustria.it\/repository\/2025\/05\/03000947\/img-38.png\"> <\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p> <\/p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The April survey of the rapid industrial production survey, among the large companies associated with Confindustria, shows worsening expectations compared to the previous month.
