The General Council of Confindustria, on the proposal of the designated President Emanuele Orsini<\/b>today approved the presidency team<\/b> for the four-year period 2024-2028<\/b> with 84% of the vote. Out of 132 members present, 110 voted in favour, there were 9 against and 13 blank ballots.<\/p>\n
Ten elected Vice Presidents will flank Orsini, three of whom are confirmed:\u00a0Francesco De Santis<\/strong>which will continue its commitment to Research and Development;\u00a0Maurizio Marchesini<\/strong>\u00a0who, after overseeing Supply Chains and Medium-Sized Enterprises, will be in charge of Labour and Industrial Relations and\u00a0Stefan Pan<\/strong>, who will continue the work he has done in Europe over the past four years as the President's Delegate, with the vice-presidency for the European Union and the relationship with the European Confindustries. The other elected members of the presidency team are:\u00a0Lucia Aleotti<\/strong>who will be vice-president for the Study Centre, a crucial hub in the definition of economic policy strategies;\u00a0Angelo Camilli<\/strong>to whom Orsini will pass the baton on Credit, Finance and Taxation;\u00a0Barbara Cimmino<\/strong>\u00a0which will follow Export and Investment Attraction. A\u00a0Vincenzo Marinese<\/strong>\u00a0will be entrusted with responsibility for the organisation and relations with the territories and categories, while\u00a0Natale Mazzuca<\/strong>\u00a0will be in charge of Strategic Policies and Development in the Mezzogiorno. A\u00a0Marco Nocivelli<\/strong>\u00a0will be given the new delegation on Industrial Policy and Made in Italy, while\u00a0Lara Ponti<\/strong>\u00a0will be in charge of Environmental Transition and ESG objectives, central topics on the Confindustria agenda. The three Vice Presidents by right will complete the presidential team,\u00a0Giovanni Baroni<\/strong>President of Small Industry,\u00a0Riccardo Di Stefano<\/strong>President of the Young Entrepreneurs and\u00a0Annalisa Sassi<\/strong>, President of the Council of Regional Representations.<\/p>\n The President-designate will retain responsibility for a few major strategic chapters: Digital Transition, Enterprise Culture and Legal Certainty.<\/p>\n The new Confindustria board will be assisted by five delegates of the President:\u00a0Leopoldo Destro<\/strong>\u00a0to Transport, Logistics and the Tourism Industry and\u00a0Riccardo Di Stefano<\/strong>who will be entrusted with the delegation of Education and Open Innovation.\u00a0Giorgio Marsiaj<\/strong>\u00a0will deal with Space Economy, ad\u00a0Aurelio Regina<\/strong>\u00a0will be delegated to Energy, while\u00a0Mario Zanetti<\/strong>\u00a0The Economy of the Sea will follow.<\/p>\n Finally, the 2024-2028 team, at the request of the President-designate, will also be supported by three Special Advisors:\u00a0Antonio Gozzi<\/strong>\u00a0with responsibility for European Strategic Autonomy, the Mattei Plan and Competitiveness,\u00a0Gianfelice Rocca<\/strong>\u00a0for Life Sciences and\u00a0Alberto Tripi<\/strong>\u00a0for Artificial Intelligence.<\/p>\n Closing the Council meeting, President-designate Orsini thanked Ambassador Langella for his work, announcing that until his next assignment, he will be at the President-designate's side as diplomatic advisor.
