{"id":20777,"date":"2025-10-25T17:51:22","date_gmt":"2025-10-25T15:51:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.confindustria.it\/?post_type=news&#038;p=20777"},"modified":"2025-11-06T16:16:17","modified_gmt":"2025-11-06T15:16:17","slug":"confindustria-meets-the-president-of-the-european-parliament-roberta-metsola-in-milan-priority-on-simplification-and-business","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.confindustria.it\/en\/news\/confindustria-meets-the-president-of-the-european-parliament-roberta-metsola-in-milan-priority-on-simplification-and-business\/","title":{"rendered":"Confindustria meets the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola in Milan: priorities on simplification and business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Confindustria <\/strong>met with the President of the European Parliament in Milan,<strong> Roberta Metsola<\/strong>,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.confindustria.it\/en\/press_communications\/confindustria-at-meeting-with-the-president-of-the-european-parliament-roberta-metsola-in-milan\/\"> at the meeting with representatives of the main Italian economic and financial categories<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, the Confindustria Vice President for the European Union<strong>, Stefan Pan<\/strong>he thanked Metsola 'for his constant attention to the world of production and his commitment to strengthening the dialogue between European institutions and businesses'.<\/p>\n<p>Pan then emphasised that \"<strong>sustainability <\/strong>should be pursued<strong> as a lever for growth, <\/strong>not as a bureaucratic constraint', emphasising the need to <strong>speed up regulatory simplification<\/strong> to define 'a more streamlined, proportionate and predictable framework, capable of freeing up resources for innovation, investment and decarbonisation'.<\/p>\n<p>Among the <strong>priorities indicated by Confindustria<\/strong> emerge:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a <strong>better coordination<\/strong> between industrial simplification and financial regulation;<\/li>\n<li>the <strong>revision of the Do No Significant Harm (DNSH) principle<\/strong>more pragmatic and consistent with the objectives of the green transition;<\/li>\n<li>a <strong>effective multi-level governance<\/strong> in the new <strong>Multiannual Financial Framework<\/strong>capable of ensuring coherence between industrial policy and the use of European funds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\"<strong>Reducing the cost of energy<\/strong>, <strong>technological neutrality<\/strong> e <strong>completion of the internal market<\/strong> - reiterated Pan - <strong>are the other three horizontal priorities, <\/strong>which we will also address with<strong> BDI <\/strong>e<strong> MEDEF <\/strong>at<strong> trilateral <\/strong>to be held in early November<strong> in Rome<\/strong>\".<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Confindustria met in Milan the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, on the occasion of the meeting with the representatives of the main Italian economic and financial categories.
