Tuesday\u00a017 February 2026<\/b>\u00a0Confindustria<\/strong> organises the event in Milan\u00a0\u201cMilan Cortina 2026: The Economy of Sport and the Mountains\u201d.\u201d<\/i>, at which the issue of the\u00a0Journal of Economic Policy<\/b> dedicated to the theme, curated in collaboration with the\u2019Institute for Sports and Cultural Credit<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event will take place\u00a0between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.<\/b>\u00a0at the Milan Triennale,\u00a0inside Casa Italia<\/b>, the reception area for athletes and centrepiece of sporting celebrations, of which\u00a0Confindustria is Official Partner<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The Review's scientific contributions offer an articulate analysis that interweaves\u00a0sport, investment, sustainability, innovation and territorial transformation<\/b>, offering a multidisciplinary reading of highly topical phenomena.<\/p>\n

The event represents an opportunity to discuss the main economic, social and territorial dynamics related to major sporting events, with particular attention to the medium- to long-term effects<\/b>\u00a0on the production system, territories and development models.<\/p>\n

Speakers will include, among others,\u00a0Luciano Buonfiglio<\/b>, CONI President,\u00a0Fausto Bianchi<\/b>\u00a0Vice President of Confindustria and President Small Industry, Leopold Destro<\/b>, Delegate of the President of Confindustria for Transport, Logistics and Tourism Industry,\u00a0Lorraine Berton<\/b>, President of the Technical Group Olympics, Major Events and Mountain Economy of Confindustria,\u00a0Beniamino Quintieri<\/b>, President Istituto per il Credito Sportivo e Culturale,\u00a0Stefano Manzocchi<\/b>, Editor Economic Policy Review,\u00a0Alessandro Picardi<\/b>, Vice President Assolombarda with responsibility for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics and Cultural Events,\u00a0Alessio Cremonese<\/b>, President Assosport,\u00a0John Foresti<\/b>, Head of Regional Research - Research Department Intesa Sanpaolo.<\/p>\n

It will also be possible to visit the exhibition\u00a0\u201cMuse\u201d<\/b>, set up inside Casa Italia: an itinerary that integrates iconic objects with contemporary works of art.<\/p>\n
