Confindustria's contribution is aimed at suggesting some improvements to Article 5 of DL Agricoltura, which provides for restrictions on the use of agricultural land for the installation of ground-mounted photovoltaic panels<\/b>. The rule risks having effects that would go beyond its purpose, impacting negatively on renewable energy production<\/b> necessary to meet the competitive decarbonisation targets of industrial companies.<\/p>\n
While waiting for the definition of a ministerial decree that regulates the criteria for identifying areas suitable for the installation of photovoltaic systems - which we hope will be approved as soon as possible - Confindustria proposes that a further exception be made alongside those already provided for in the measure, stipulating that this rule does not apply to projects aimed atself-generation of renewable energy<\/strong>e<\/strong>even indirectly and remotely, by industrial or <\/i>by third parties with whom the companies themselves sign forward procurement contracts for renewable energy. <\/p>\n Special attention must also be paid to the energy intensive sectors of industry<\/b>which are the basis of the manufacturing system and which must reach an emissions reduction target of 62% by 2030 compared to 2005. This is why we believe that the areas of the remediated sites, including orphan sites, owned by public entities should be offered in concession for the implementation of the so-called energy release<\/b>.
