Confindustria participated in the\u00a0consultation<\/b><\/a>\u00a0public of the MASE on the\u00a0National Strategic Framework (NSF) for the development of alternative fuels infrastructure<\/i><\/b><\/a>,pursuant to\u00a0Regulation (EU) 2023\/1804 - AFIR<\/a>.\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The NSF defines the\u00a0national infrastructure planning for electric, LNG\/CNG and hydrogen recharging<\/b>, with reference to the road, maritime, rail, inland waterway and air sectors and is intended to guide investment choices and implementation of the transition in transport.<\/p>\n

In summary, in its response to the consultation on the NSF, Confindustria proposes:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. infrastructure development and planning (central priority)<\/b>: acceleration of authorisations, more granular spatial planning, strengthening of the network (TEN-T, logistical nodes, weak demand areas) and full utilisation of existing infrastructure<\/li>\n
  2. focus on freight and LPT<\/b>dedicated measures for the segments most difficult to decarbonise, with fleet renewal and support for electrification and alternative fuels<\/li>\n
  3. coordination between supply and demand<\/b>contextual development of vehicles and infrastructure to avoid mismatch, in particular for hydrogen and new carriers<\/li>\n
  4. technological neutrality<\/b>: integration of electricity, biofuels, CNF, LNG\/bioNG and hydrogen according to the different segments<\/li>\n
  5. economic sustainability of the transition<\/b>: reducing energy costs, tax leverage and fleet renewal incentives<\/li>\n
  6. strengthening the public role<\/b>Targeted use of funds (ETS, road transport) and investment support instruments<\/li>\n
  7. promotion of renewable fuels<\/b>: development of supply chains (biofuels, SAF, RFNBO) also by exploiting existing infrastructure<\/li>\n
  8. simplification and governance<\/b>streamlining permitting and central policy coordination.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
