To meet the challenges of the ecological and digital transition, Confindustria has drawn up an action plan based on three drivers: <strong data-start=\"370\" data-end=\"441\">Infrastructure and Portuality, Carriers and Fleets, People and Skills<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"444\" data-end=\"795\">Need <strong data-start=\"452\" data-end=\"478\">investments in ports<\/strong>digitisation of processes and development of alternative fuels (LNG, hydrogen, biofuels), making the most of PNRR funds, ETS and tax credits. Maritime transport needs <strong data-start=\"668\" data-end=\"689\">regulatory reforms<\/strong>balance between sustainability and competitiveness and support for <strong data-start=\"752\" data-end=\"794\">shipbuilding, fishing and boating<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"797\" data-end=\"1029\">The real crux remains the <strong data-start=\"819\" data-end=\"844\">skills shortage<\/strong>Technical training must be strengthened, ITS and universities must be enhanced, the recruitment of qualified young people must be stimulated, and digital, language and logistical skills must be enhanced.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1031\" data-end=\"1189\"><strong data-start=\"1031\" data-end=\"1102\">Confindustria is ready to lead the relaunch of the Sea Economy<\/strong>promoting targeted industrial policies and a constructive dialogue with institutions.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The maritime economy is a strategic asset for Italy, contributing over \u20ac216 billion to GDP and employing one million people.
