'The development of nuclear energy in the national energy mix: the potential for the Italian SMR and AMR industry'<\/em><\/strong> is the study carried out by Confindustria and ENEA that aims to lay the regulatory, technological, economic, market and social foundations for a safe return of nuclear power in Italy.<\/p>\n

Introducing nuclear power back into our energy mix would keep energy costs down, strengthen energy security\/independence profiles and facilitate the transition to a efficient, sustainable and competitive industrial model<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The study explores the economic and technical characteristics of SMRs and AMRs for their use in industry, envisaging their integration into hard-to-abate gas and power generation industrial districts for the generation of electricity and process heat.<\/p>\n
