The decree-law provided\u00a0an extension of deadlines<\/b>he entry into force of the obligation for companies to insure themselves against catastrophic and calamitous risks, which should have been effective for all companies as of 1 April 2025. This action, which affects all companies, has been urged on several occasions by Confindustria and\u00a0is therefore particularly appreciated.<\/b><\/p>\n
The introduction of an obligation for all Italian companies to take out insurance to cover damages resulting from natural disasters and catastrophic events,\u00a0represents a change of epochal significance<\/b>\u00a0for the Italian production system, particularly for smaller companies. Confindustria understands the rationale behind this provision, but has always stressed the need for the introduction of the obligation to take place\u00a0in a time and manner that allows the production system to adapt<\/b>. This is why the request for an extension, made on several occasions, was motivated by the fact that\u00a0a month would have been completely insufficient.<\/b><\/p>\n
<\/b>The extension contained in this measure is therefore positive and will allow the companies subject to the obligation to deepen their understanding of the provisions contained in the decree, but above all to\u00a0evaluate and compare policy offers\u00a0<\/b>on the market as well as to verify the proposed contractual conditions and\u00a0assess an extension of coverage to risks<\/b>\u00a0and assets other than those provided for in the legislation.<\/p>\n
It is also to be hoped that during the extension period envisaged by the DL some initiatives envisaged by law will be completed and that there will be an opportunity for further investigation. In particular, among other things, some points should be clarified in the context of the technical table on catastrophic insurance at MIMIT, whose recently published FAQs do not exhaust all the doubts raised.<\/p>\n
In conclusion, it should be emphasised that the introduction of compulsory insurance\u00a0should represent one piece of a broader national intervention<\/b>first of all\u00a0public investments<\/b>\u00a0to secure the territory, starting with those to be implemented in the areas of the country at greatest risk and with the highest intensity of productive settlements.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
