{"id":21455,"date":"2025-11-18T21:01:47","date_gmt":"2025-11-18T20:01:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.confindustria.it\/?post_type=comunicati_stampa&#038;p=21455"},"modified":"2025-11-18T21:45:30","modified_gmt":"2025-11-18T20:45:30","slug":"young-entrepreneurs-from-confindustria-meet-with-the-vice-president-of-the-european-parliament-sberna","status":"publish","type":"comunicati_stampa","link":"https:\/\/www.confindustria.it\/en\/press_communications\/young-entrepreneurs-from-confindustria-meet-with-the-vice-president-of-the-european-parliament-sberna\/","title":{"rendered":"THE YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS OF CONFINDUSTRIA MEET THE VICE PRESIDENT OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT SBERNA"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 class=\"x_xmsonormal\">Anghileri: \u201cSimplification, investment and competitiveness: young entrepreneurs\u201d priorities for the European agenda\"<\/h3>\n<p class=\"x_xmsonormal\"><b>Brussels, 18 November 2025<\/b>\u00a0 \u2013 Today, at the European Parliament, the\u00a0<b>Chair of Confindustria Young Entrepreneurs, Maria Anghileri<\/b>, met with the\u00a0<b>Vice-President of the European Parliament, Antonella Sberna<\/b>, who spoke at the meeting of the Central Council of Young Entrepreneurs, held exceptionally in Brussels.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_xmsonormal\">In thanking Sberna for his constant dialogue with the productive world and for promoting the interests of businesses and young people in Europe, Anghileri stressed that \u201cfor our generation, Europe is a common home, but in order to remain competitive, it needs to achieve shared goals with a clearer vision: the world is moving fast and we cannot afford to fall behind. The figures for our competitors speak for themselves: per capita GDP in the United States is $80,000, compared to $40,000 in Europe. This is not because they work harder than us, but because they produce more for every hour worked, thanks to investment in technology, infrastructure and human capital\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_xmsonormal\">La <strong>President<\/strong> He highlighted a number of critical factors \u2013 productivity, energy costs, technological delays \u2013 and the risk that \u201cexcessive regulation could stifle innovation: energy costs much less in the United States, which makes its supply chains more competitive. In Europe, on the other hand, the cost of energy has become a factor of inequality. If energy costs more, everything costs more, and this discourages new businesses.\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_xmsonormal\">Among the priorities indicated by the<strong> Young Entrepreneurs<\/strong> To Vice President Sberna:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"x_xmsonormal\">regulatory simplification;<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_xmsonormal\">competitive energy prices;<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_xmsonormal\">technological and digital sovereignty, with investments in AI, semiconductors and cybersecurity;<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_xmsonormal\">Union of Capital Markets and Financial Services for Growth;<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_xmsonormal\">strengthening the industrial base and common defence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_xmsonormal\">Anghileri also reiterated his support for the<strong> 28th Regime<\/strong>, \u201ca single, optional European instrument to make it easier to grow and do business\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_xmsonormal\">\u201cEurope can do it,\u201d concluded Anghileri, \"if it puts competitiveness at the heart of its decisions.
