CAMILLI: \"MORE INTEGRATED RULES AND MORE ACCESSIBLE MARKETS TO SUPPORT THE GROWTH OF EUROPEAN COMPANIES\"."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Rome, 23 October 2025<\/strong> - Today, at the <strong>Confindustria<\/strong>the Vice President for Credit, Finance and Taxation<strong> Angelo Camilli<\/strong> met with the European Commissioner for Financial Services and the Savings and Investment Union<strong>\u00a0Maria Lu\u00eds Albuquerque<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting provided an important opportunity to discuss the financial priorities of the<strong>European Union<\/strong> and the need to build a more efficient and integrated capital market by facilitating business access to it.<\/p>\n<p>Camilli, in thanking the Commissioner for her efforts in creating a <strong>Savings and Investments Union<\/strong> and for its attention to the demands of the industrial system, emphasised that 'financial rules, particularly those aimed at the banking system, have direct effects on the competitiveness of industrial enterprises'. Hence Confindustria's commitment to closely monitor European dossiers on financial matters, also in coordination with <strong>BusinessEurope<\/strong> and with the industrial associations of the main European countries.<\/p>\n<p>The association's priorities discussed during the meeting include: fostering the development of a European capital market and business access to it; strengthening the role of institutional investors, particularly pension funds, as long-term investors; promoting the mobilisation of private savings and improving banking regulation in a more balanced and proportionate way; and ensuring simplified rules on sustainable finance that are truly capable of facilitating business transition.<\/p>\n<p>Camilli reiterated Confindustria's support for 'an ambitious <strong>Savings and Investment Union<\/strong>capable of channelling European savings towards innovation, growth and the green and digital transition'.<\/p>\n<p>'Constant dialogue between companies and European institutions,' Camilli concluded, 'is essential to build a financial framework that supports the competitiveness and growth of productive Europe.
