Milan, 21 October 2025<\/span><\/b> - The <\/span>award ceremony for Women in STEM 2025 winners<\/span><\/b>the project promoted by the <\/a><\/span>Giuseppina Mai Foundation of Confindustria<\/span><\/b><\/a> to support female talent in scientific disciplines.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The initiative, realised in collaboration with <\/span>Assolombarda and the STEAMiamoci association<\/span><\/b>, <\/span>Bracco Foundation<\/span><\/b> e <\/span>Space Work<\/span><\/b>with the support of the <\/span>Chiesi Group<\/span><\/b> and of <\/span>Fondimpresa<\/span><\/b>and with the liberal support of Enel Italia, recorded <\/span>a record 172 applications<\/span><\/b> from all over Italy. Among them, <\/span>thirteen female students enrolled in the first year of a Master's degree programme<\/span><\/b> in the field <\/span>Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics<\/span><\/i> were awarded with <\/span>3,000 euro scholarships<\/span><\/b> each and access to a <\/span>mentoring course<\/span><\/b> with researchers and professionals in the field.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During the ceremony, institutions and companies discussed the importance of investing in STEM skills and bridging the gender gaps still present in technical-scientific pathways and innovation careers.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Women in STEM<\/span><\/i> relies on three fundamental levers - <\/span>economic support, targeted guidance and networks between universities and business<\/span><\/b> - to valorise merit, reduce drop-outs from scientific paths and foster female employability in key sectors for the country's competitiveness.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Valuing the talents of young girls means building a society that is fairer, more innovative and more capable of facing the challenges of tomorrow. Behind every girl who chooses science there is a society that believes in her talent: this is the cultural change we want to promote with this project,' says <\/span>Diana Bracco, President of the Giuseppina Mai Foundation<\/span><\/b> and of <\/span>Bracco Foundation.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"More women in STEM is not just a question of equity, but of system performance. It means energising an ecosystem of research, development and innovation, in which public-private partnerships are important, that makes a difference on the great challenges of the future. If we want to be truly competitive, we must work on the entire chain of competences: from basic training to the most advanced specialisation.
