Bubayi Products Ltd is a for-profit social enterprise which supplies improved, treated and certified seeds for profitable rotational crops to farmers in Western Kenya. Their typical customers are small scale, mostly women who also benefit from their free advisory services.
Bubayi sources suitable varieties from the Kenya Agriculture and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO) and multiplies the seed under license, using contract growers. They then package and sell the seeds through local agrodealers and NGOs as well as through direct sales.
