400 million tonnes glass and plastic waste is produced in Kenya alone yearly. Only 32% of this is recovered & collected to be processed for reusing and recycling. The rest is either landfilled or buried. Bottle Logistics East Africa is a bottle waste collection and processing company that produces secondary raw materials. Her production products streams mainly into 2 products. Product 1(glass container processing and reusing). The bottles directly fed into their production lines, they are from the recovery of non-biodegradable glass. Product 2(processed container cullet) the cullet is directly fed into their kilns which is from the recovery of non-biodegradable glass material. Processed cullet is neither presorted nor mined hence lower costs.

There are available East African manufacturers of glass products, beverage manufacturers and packers of alcoholic and non, glass and ware manufacturers. Cullet remelting saves 40% of energy in kilns. Increasing the processing factories in Kenya & Uganda to 16 factories and collection sites to 40 in the period 2019 – 2021
