The company operates a vertical supply chain for sourcing, manufacturing and design of clothing, apparel, and exporter to EU and US Markets. Akaki is one of the biggest companies that have acquired rich experience in the production of different Garment products for the local market. The company was found on 1971 by Japanese and Ethiopian shareholders with an authorized capital of USD 60,000. Its major objective was to produce different Garment products for European Market. The company was nationalized in 1975 and since then the company has geared its production strategy towards serving the Ministry of Defence in producing military uniform locally.
