The founder of Amputech, Archippus Sesay, has been an amputee since the age of 9, he tested the legs prototypes on himself and designed a new, high-quality but low-cost durable prosthesis, that reduces amputees’ rate of dependency. He develops his own social business capitalizing all the knowledge achieved during the years as amputee and technician at Makeni Government Hospital. In 2015, he has won the UNDP Sierra Leone Youth Innovation Award
