This Division deals with taxation, finance and welfare issues of interest to companies, assisting with the definition of general guidelines for Confindustria’s activities and offering advisory services to members Associations and Federations of the Confindustria system.
In addition to providing services to Associations, the primary task of the Division is to monitor and analyse tax and welfare policies to understand their impact on companies, as well as lobbying activity to support the interests of members.
In brief, the Division’s three main functions are:
- Taxation, the Division monitors tax policy issues (from federalism and tax relief for growth to relations between tax authorities and the taxpayers), and monitors concrete regulatory and administrative activities that have a bearing on the day-to-day operations of companies. Activities are driven by the Technical Taxation Committee which – through “Taxation” and “International Taxation” Working Groups – guarantees the Association System’s participation in the setting of goals in terms of taxation, and presents proposals and initiatives to confederate bodies and relevant authorities.
- Finance, the Division engages in all activities relating to relationships between banks/financial brokers and companies, regulation activity performed by supervisory authorities and industrial policy actions by means of guarantee funds for lending.
- Welfare, activities relate to issues of financing the National Health Service, developing supplementary healthcare and welfare funds (fulfilment of business contribution obligations, problems regarding the public pension system and contractual pension funds).
