As set forth in its by-laws, Confindustria seeks to contribute to Italy’s economic growth and social progress, alongside the country’s political institutions and economic, social and cultural organisations, both national and international.
Confindustria represents the interests of Italy’s industrial system in its relations with Parliament, Government, Trade Unions, etc.

Confindustria: aims and goals

Confindustria is the leading organisation representing the interests of Italian companies that produce goods and services in the political sphere and in relations with trade unions. In particular, Confindustria has the goals of:

• promoting, in society and among entrepreneurs, an awareness of social and civil values and of behaviour commensurate with entrepreneurship within the context of a free and developing society;
• representing and defending the industrial sector that produces goods and/or services with its cultural, economic and productive development, in relations with institutions and administrations and with national, Community and international organisations in the economic, political, labour union and social spheres;
• helping to promote, alongside Institutions and the economic, political, social and cultural organisations of the country and the European Union – and similar institutions and organisations internationally – a spirit of cooperation in order to jointly pursue broader aims of progress and development.
